I love and find inspiration in organic materials. They are unique, soulful and textural in their expression. They change in the most beautiful way with the passage of time, they are imperfect, impermanent, sustainable and sensorial, inviting to touching, smelling and observing.
I strive to create soulful and organic pictures that speak to the senses and invite the viewer to approach life with attention, joy, curiosity and care.
I seek the beauty and poetry of life, the beautifully imperfect and quirky, the often unnoticed details and the essence and soulfulness of things.
I work with abstract painting, mixed media and mono print on canvas and paper.
My work is in great part inspired by organic materials, shapes, patterns and textures, and by the Earth, especially earth as clay, mud, soil, minerals and colours, and as medium for seeds, plants and other life.
Both Earth and soil keep layers of decayed materials and memories of time and history.
