DANISH ARTIST´S SOULFUL RETREAT ON MALLORCA

The art of Danish painter Anne Tholstrup inspired me to start painting. I love the organic feeling of her art, and her house on Mallorca has the same organic vibe and colours.

In 2022 I has the privilege to visit her house and take pictures for a project. Her house is a charming 200-year-old country house in Santanyi, Mallorca.

The organic materials, the soft golden light and the very personal decor give the house a charming soulfulness and a serene, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The raw outer walls glow orange-ocher in the afternoon sun and change hue during the day to cooler sandy and earthy rose.



The decor is simple and organic as the house itself. And of course Anne's art with its organic expression and vibrant soulfulness almost blends with the house. Just the kind of place I love to photograph.
