Potter Good Dora lives and works in the mountain town of Deia, located in the beautiful and rough Tramuntana mountain range. There is no doubt that her pottery is inspired by the surrounding rustic, rocky landscape and the organic colors. The creations have subdued shades of brown, gray and sand and the surfaces are very tactile and textured.

Growing up in a family of artists and creatives, Dora shares a workshop with her mother Grace, who is also a potter. In the fresh mountain air hangs a pleasant scent of wood smoke from the ceramic oven, the two tough women have constructed themselves.

The whole physical process from clay to art, with the 4 elements earth, water, fire and air, is fascinating and speaks to something deep in humans. Creating pottery is grounded, basic and both simple and complex, robust and fragile.
